The Inevitable Journey

After

The first time I made her laugh, I knew I was going to fall in love with her. And then when I did fall in love with her, a few months after our first date, I knew that this was going to be good. Somewhere in those months together, I realized that what we have is a great thing. We moved in together.

And on Sunday, I put a ring on her finger.

Looking back on that moment when she laughed so hard her whole body shook and her eyes lit up, all of this was inevitable.

And I’m looking forward to the rest of our lives.

      Thanks! :-)

Actually, she has one cheap-o mountain bike that lives in the garage, and it’s probably been two years since she rode it. Her not being a cyclist is responsible “got me in,” actually. We’re on our first date, and we’re chatting away, and she says, “Oh, I don’t ride.”

Without thinking, I said, “Ah, nobody’s perfect.”

And then realized what I said. And while my eyes were getting huge, she was laughing her ass off. And that was my “in”…

I still hold out hope for getting her back on a bike and enjoying it.
