But as you say, as soon as someone else 'stole' what he viewed as his legacy, the griping began. I also find it strange that only people he focused his whining towards where the two other Americans to win the tour. Using logic similarly faulty to Greg's, therefore he is on a vendetta against Lance and Floyd and really doesn't care about doping all that much. It truly is sad as his legacy has become almost and afterthought... he's mentioned out of courtesy to Le Tour and American Cycling, but not really out of respect for Lemond himself. To be honest, I almost feel pity for the man as he must deal with some major demons in his own head on a daily basis.
