Man, I did not want to get up this morning, and I’ve been getting a ton of sleep lately. Let’s recap the weekend, shall we?
Friday, I left work around 2:00 p.m., went home, and played some video games. I crawled into bed around 4:30 p.m., and slept until after 8:00 p.m. After I woke up, Kate and I sat around and watched TV until about 2:30 a.m.
Saturday, I woke up semi-early and hustled on over to Princeton to work on the bike stuff. The 29er was back from the first round of paint (white base coat), and it was really hard to contain my glee. I did get her all masked-off and ready for the second round (metallic black, with clearcoat over it), though, and I’m hoping she’ll be done tonight or tomorrow.
After the masking was done, I set to work on the lugged commuter (I forgot Justin’s tubing at home in Minneapolis), and got the top tube re-done and started looking at the chainstays. (Those should be done this coming Sunday, along with a ton of progress on Justin’s MTB frame.) However, I had to leave early as we had a social engagement.
Got home, putzed around while Kate was napping, and then we got moving on getting over to MK’s. We didn’t stay too long — it was chilly and such, plus we were excited to see the wedding photos she shot of us. Went home, looked at all the photos, and went to bed.
I slept late — for me, 9:30 a.m. is late. Kate slept until after 1 p.m. I spent some more time on Battlefield: Bad Company 2, uploaded the wedding photos to Flickr, posted my pics of the 29er to MBL and Bike612, and then went and got some groceries for making the White Trash Dip I detailed in my previous post. After that, it was pretty much laziness throughout the day.
I’m not ready to be back, that’s for sure.
