My one big wish for the Mac App Store right now is that it would support the sale of fonts. I’m sure you can guess why — I’ve got a mountain of them that I’ve developed, sitting on my hard drive, as I write this, and I’ve generally been unhappy with the various distribution methods that are out there.
This, of course, is only a subset of what Apple should be doing with the Mac App Store. There’s more to a desktop computing environment than just apps. And the option to make other elements of the OS available through the App Store would be a boon to both Apple and smaller developers alike.
I’d willingly pay the $99 for a developer account if I could start submitting non-apps.
