Money Makeover: June 2015 (FINAL)

This is my last Money Makeover post for awhile. Because we’re kind of off that train for the foreseeable future. You see, we’re in the process of buying a house. Something small, old, and cheap, but in the city. We’ll have a lot of work to do on it. That kinda blows apart our pursuite of the Total Money Makeover. It was a wild ride while it lasted.

WUT.

Fortunately, it doesn’t end here. Once the kids are in school, Kate will probably pick up extra hours at Foss during the week to start bringing home more bacon, and I’m going to start freelancing again soon because fuck I miss that shit. Also, I’ll be getting some writing up and online on the Kindle Store and elsewhere because I have a bunch of it and I might as well get it earning me a dollar or two per month. Who knows? Depending on how things pan out, I might get a job for a few hours a week spinning a wrench at a bike shop. We’ll see.

Try Again?

Yes, I definitely want to try the Total Money Makeover again. It’s just that for the foreseeable future, it’s not going to happen. Life is too goddamned complicated to do anything else other than just try to get ahead where we can right now. And that’s okay, really. We got a pretty good-sized chunk of the debt paid off, and we learned a lot about ourselves and our situation in the process. No complaints here.
