So the off-season looms about 3-4 weeks away. Some of you will point out that, “Bailey! It’s November! In Minnesota! Are you nuts?”
The short answer is: yes.
The long answer is that it’s still cyclocross season, and state championships for that are on November 17th. I’ll be racing every weekend until then.
So the off-season plan? Well, I’m going to keep riding outdoors through the end of December, I suspect. This winter is going to see me in the gym a lot — weights, running, and spinning. I’m probably going to sign up for a Bikram yoga class somewhere away from the gym, and I really should learn to swim in a non-comical manner, as well.
I’ve been gearing up with more cold weather apparel, and ordering the small-and-sundry stuff. Yesterday, it was a fourth-hand tool (part of the joy of installing brakes), new bottles of EP-NO and Optygen, and a handlebar mount for my GPS, so I can start publishing routes on here.
Speaking of the site, I am dinking around with a new design, using Photoshop for my layout. Expect something in the next week or two. Features to include publishing routes in Google Maps and the Garmin GPS format, photo galleries using Lightbox, Google Analytics (okay, that’s more for me than you guys), and so on. I may toss some Google AdWords on here to help cover the insane costs of bike racing. We’ll see.
