What I’ve Learned in 2013

White vinegar does an awesome job of removing surface rust from steel.

In 80’s movies, whenever they have to explain where something is, they’ll say it’s “near the mall.”

People who have multiple kids at home and still manage to find time for themselves are fucking heroic.

It is easier to think when not surrounded by clutter.

A toddler with a new sibling is a great metaphor for a business on the receiving end of their business model being disrupted.

A blog is an insanely great tool for self-reflection.

Job hunting is tedious and annoying until I’m actually in the interview, and then I have a great time of it.

Having the summer off is a wonderful thing — I got to spend a ton of time with my son and ride the hell out of my bike.

I’m ready to get back to work.
