I am a mid-thirties guy who lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in a small one-bedroom apartment. I make my living as a project manager, and a bicycle mechanic part-time. This blog actually details two pseudo-hobbies that are insanely important in my life: writing and cycling.

I have lived a pretty full and exciting life to this point. I’ve served in the Army (communications specialist), been to college (English-Creative Writing and Linguistics), surfed the dot-com wave and crashed heavily on the rocks. I then made a change in career and enjoy the direction things have been heading since.

In addition to the bikes and the word processor, I design fonts, climb rocks, and try to be the Ultimate Sponge of Knowledge.

Things I can do: laugh at myself, configure a webserver, change a car’s oil, iron a shirt, build a bicycle, kick your ass at Scrabble, tie my own shoes(!), play the Guitar Hero series at Medium with a high degree of competency, make an awesome grilled cheese sandwich, make people laugh, and discuss a wide variety of complex topics including: politics, science, and philosophy.

Things I cannot do: dance, sing, speak Russian, rebuild an engine, play a musical instrument, eat seafood, perform open-heart surgery, fly a space shuttle, kick the caffeine habit, and stop using the “f-bomb” (blame the army for that one).

Goals: own and run my own bike shop, settle down with the right woman, get a novel published, develop superpowers and use them to save the world (and probably a little personal gain on the side), witness the Vikings win a Superbowl (this might be more of a stretch than that ’superpowers’ thing), and learn something new every day for the rest of my life.
