Hacks

Update: December 17th, 2009

Lately, I’ve been getting more into tinkering around with electronics, thanks primarily to Arduino hardware. I’ve got a little Moleskine that I’ve been rapidly filling up with ideas for projects and sketches for the current stuff.

Some of the electronics highlights: Dashbrain (my current project), building drones out of things like an old Robosapien and an R/C glider.

For a long time, I’ve been interested in building bicycle frames and will probably get around to taking a class on the subject soon. I’m also interested in building a Stirling engine, making beer, and learning enough blacksmithing to be able to make a decent sword.

On top of all that, I do all sorts of odd little web projects.

I’ve been tinkering with my Dashbrain project. Wiring it up to a ANT+Sport transceiver so that it will talk to my heart rate monitor, wattmeter, and cadence sensor on my bike.
